The air was saturated with dust, smoke and ash, choking the city and smothering the sun. The menacing win was threatening to clear the air between us, but gave up before it ever tried. It was a miserable day to be outside. It was even worse to be inside. And worse still to be here. By now any rational person would be asking why on earth would anyone stay. I am not a rational person, perhaps you are, and perhaps you are one of those that feels compelled to show me how irrational I am. It would be a waste of time to attempt to show me how irrational I am, I'm too far gone to realize I am anything but the cream filling of a crazy cake.
So there I am, walking into another meeting of the most mediocre minds the west has to offer. When the soul sucking florescent lights began to flicker, making the board room look like the back room of the bordello next door, without any of the benefits of being a bordello. This was shaping up to be one hell of a staff meeting, I don't get paid enough for this.
